In this we put up 5 of our favorite ‘tambayan’ spots in Tagaytay where you can enjoy the cool breeze climate and spectacular sites in this small city.
Restaurant: Marcia Adams
Marcia Adams is a Tuscany-inspired garden restaurant that serves its guests Mediterranean cuisines prepared by the owner herself, Marcia. It is a nice place for a casual meal and romantic dinner dates. If you appreciate the western palate, then this is the perfect place for you. Don’t forget to try their Classic Shish Kebabs, Grilled Aromatic Pork, and Banana Split for dessert – they are simply amazing!
Coffee shop: Bag of Beans
So, what’s the best way to fight the chilly breeze when in Tagaytay? Hot cup of quality coffee! Bag of Beans, the most popular Local Coffee Joint in the city has this covered for you. This is not only a coffee shop but also a restaurant serving delicious meals.
Picnic spot: Picnic Grove
Picnic Grove is a very famous hangout place in Tagaytay, mainly for its spectacular view of Taal Lake. Therefore, it’s quite the ideal place to have breakfast and get some morning sun or have dinner and enjoy the vibrant colors of the skies as the sun sets. With a minimal fee of PhP200 for adults and PhP50 for kids, you can enjoy the sights around the vicinity. There are also huts/cottages you can rent out which costs between PhP100 and PhP500, depending on its size.
Nightlife: Wild Juan
A place inspired by the wild, wild West. The food they offer has a perfect blend of filipino and western cuisine to cater to foreign and local palate. . The place has a beer garden if you want to sit out and have a view of the lake and the volcano and breathe in some fresh air. They have a wide selection of liquor and beverages, not to mention they also have filipino craft beers. So if ever you drink your night away, it’s no problem as this place has an Inn too. Eat, dine, and sleep rolled into one!
Relaxation: Qiwellness Living
Qiwellness Living is a combination of a teahouse, spa destination, and a bathhouse. This place is inspired by centuries-old architecture, cuisine, and healing practices of China, mixed with modern design, culinary methods, and wellness developments. You can order à la carte menu from the tea house, too, along with a ‘yin & yang’ degustation menu. If you are planning to visit the place, don’t forget to make a reservation at least 48 hours before your arrival.
